Breakfast had great selection and there was a three-man band that serenaded every table two songs max per table.
View was great walking around the place, especially the one overlooking the water and Taal Volcano. We had the rooms underground which smelled kinda musty but not overpoweringly so. Philippines Roxy. Food is just ok, not as best.

Room was a bit small but very comfortable. All in all it was a nice olace to stay.. The place has character and a lot of history. The view and location of the hotel against the taal volcano backdrop was simply amazing. No shuttle to the city attractions. The bar closes too early. There were no decent umbrellas for guests to use during rainy days.
Food has a wide range of choices but nothing special. Dimsums would be nice. Sashimi would even be best. Philippines Ma. The buffet has sufficient choices. It is the main reason why we visit Taal Vista. Our room was spacious. The balcony was the highlight of course. The room was a bit dated. It just needs a little upgrading.
But overall, satisfactory. Saudi Arabia MSA View especially rooms with balcony was amazing. Reception staff granted my request to have good view room in the 4th floor. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking. Although many negative points mentioned in my comment but I would come back again as the overall stay and service was very good as well as the friendly staff. Keep in mind to find many insects if Windows kept opend.

The hotel is old and our room decor was very basic, down to hospital white tiles, itchy couch covering and a tiny tiny television. More disconcerting is that no one offered to move us to a different room even though the hotel was mostly empty. There is a buffet adverstised but we found out the same day we checked in that no buffet is offered on sunday. For those who long for the feeling of being at home again, the only place to be is in this Tagaytay hotel.
