To date, it is the last Hamtaro episode to be officially released in English. Prince Bo sends the Ham-Hams on an important mission: to carry the ever-lasting hamtorch to Hamcropolis. His servants, Daisy , Ivy , and Rosy become jealous and try to steal away the torch, not knowing that Prince Bo had another important job for them. The Ham-Hams get help from friends new and old as they try to make their way to Hamcropolis while avoiding the pesky flying Rainbow Girls.
Along the way, Hamtaro shares both the flame and the spirit of friendship. This is actually an edited version of the previously dubbed " Clubhouse Intruders ", in which the Ham-Hams must rescue Stan after he skips an earthquake drill, and ends up trapped inside the clubhouse with hostile chicky-chickies. On the final day, the only event participated in is the Marathon. The controls are different depending on the event played, however, each event also offers a practice mode, which is the same as the main event, however, the results are not counted against your team.
There are several codes that can be entered in the hamha machine. Each one can produce some effects such as getting special friend cards or costumes. Here is a list of all of these codes with their effects. Additionally, other words may produce something. The list of words that work depends on the language selected. Friend Cards are a collectible in Ham-Ham Games , which show detailed pictures of various Ham-Hams, alongside tips and tricks for playing the game.
Many of these cards were only available for Japanese players that connected to a Nintendo Joy Spot during limited periods of time; cards were distributed from July to February Which is why it's a good thing that not a single one of the fifteen games in Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games is based around button-mashing speed.
Oh, sure, quick buttonmashing's a skill, too In the HM dash, for example, players must time the button press to a quickly moving powerbar, hitting the command at the right point on the indicator. Successfully hit the mark and the character's speed will increase, but so will the speed of the timing bar The diving portion is a tough button-recognition challenge where players have to hit the button sequence as the character jumps into the pool.
And, probably the most clever timing design is the Marathon, where players must play a rhythm game where the measure's beat changes at each relay point.
And the music gets faster as the player does better, making it tougher to time the button presses to the tune's beat. There are also a couple of impressive sports games, including Tennis and Volleyball, that are much better designed than you may expect a mini-game compilation to have. Tennis, for example, despite having hamsters in the athlete's roles, is quite possibly better than the original Tennis game on the black and white Game Boy. Not bad for hamster sports.
As cool as most of the challenges are in the compilation pack, there are a couple of design duds in Hamtaro Ham-Ham Sports.
Sailing, for example, is a mess, requiring players to cruise on choppily animating Mode 7 waters as the wind mysteriously changes during the race. And the Chicken Race, a take on reallife Equestrian horse jumping, just isn't a whole lot of fun due to its clunky control. Though skilled players can romp through the tournament mode in a couple of hours, the "adventure" design keeps the game going well after the first tournament ends.
There are at least three different tournament flags to score, which means players will have to go through the multi-day structure three times to win it all. Set in the world of the Hamtaro, the player controls Hamtaro. The game expands on the gameplay of the earlier titles by adding Bijou as a partner. Together, they have to save the other ham-hams from Spat , an evil hamster with a hatred for any kind of relation, by learning ham-chat and visiting various locations.
The goals in Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak are to defeat Spat once and for all and to repair all the destroyed relations. A third quest, that supports those two, is to obtain all the "Ham-Chats". Ham-Chats are words, but also much more than that. At the start of the game, Hamtaro accidentally causes almost all the Ham-Chats in his Ham-Ham Dictionary to vanish, starting the hunt to fill the dictionary.
For instance, Lookie means to look. It is one of the most common Ham-Chats in the game, and solely has an action function. In that sense, action Ham-Chats often come with the necessary item which is part of the Ham-Chat motion and doesn't show up in the inventory and therefore, go another way than other adventure games in which the player already has all the actions available, but still has to get the required items.
The other kind of Ham-Chat can only be used in conversations.
