Put yourself in the position of the suspect, what if it was YOU being held captive for something you didn't do? What if it was YOU who had no way to defend yourself or prove your innocence? How would you feel? I suspect you wouldn't like that very much.
If you wouldn't want yourself to be treated like that, you shouldn't allow for others to be either. So no terror suspects shouldn't be detained without a trial, they deserve a due process in court like everyone else. These people are human just like us, They should have the right to a fair trial like everyone else. How would u feel if u were wrongly accused of being a terrorist.
Imagine being the mother or father of that person who is right now in a detention center being treated like they don't have a right. I saw the claim in the "yes" side that said, "would they give us a fair trial if we terrorized their country? Every person should be given equal punishment fit for the crime.
If you rob a bank, you go to court no matter who you are, whether you are Johnny Depp or a homeless person on the street, you have a fair trial. So why is it different for acts of terrorism? Instead of arresting them and locking them up let them be a human but with security or some kind of security systems that they don't get some kind of panic attack or get scared for life from being in prison.
Also they should put some kind of band that docent allow the person to go to some places. If this happened then american government would accuse any person they suspected as being a terrorist just to get them out of the way. This would also be bad because this goes against the constitution, the 7th amendment. Everyone must be given a fair trial and is innocent until proven guilty.
