The closest player will also be debuffed to take increased damage from Acid Torrent for 20 seconds. Acid Torrent, however, requires more explanation. This ability does not target Oregorger's tank, but rather the player closest to the boss, provided that they are in the cone attack that Oregorger fires at a random ranged raid member.

This means that the tank should face the boss towards the ranged group, as this will ensure that they will always be hit by Acid Torrent. When this ability is cast, the tank will suffer a massive amount of Physical damage but because tanks have a lot of Armor, the damage finally taken will not be very great , and the raid then takes a very high amount of Nature damage.

The important factor here is that the damage the raid takes is reduced by the total amount of damage reduction that the tank had active when he was hit by the Physical damage.

As a result, whenever Acid Torrent is being cast, the raid should make an effort to increase the damage mitigation on the tank.

This can be done either through use of the tank's own cooldowns and abilities, or through the use of external damage reduction cooldowns. Another component of Acid Torrent is that the affected tank will also take greatly increased damage from subsequent Acid Torrent casts within 20 seconds, which naturally means that the tanks should perform a tank switch to handle this debuff. Performing a tank switch for each Acid Torrent will solve the problem, and it will also deal with the Acid Maw debuff in the process.
