I will forgive them their slow energy regeneration simply due to the fact that it is possible, however unpredictably, to earn these free points.

Big thanks to the creators of the game for this option! May 22, By Bearwooooolf. This game is by far one of my favorites in the App Store. I love that I have to think to solve it. But there is one big problem that takes away at least 2 stars. The Energy. It almost feels like a joke. I mean I went to bad with 1 energy left. After 10 hours of sleep woke up with only I think it would be better if the amount of energy that we can get free would increase, and the amount of energy it requires to find things or just move on with the story would decrease.

Fun mystery puzzle game but needs improvement on Nov 3, By Sherroal. That is a definite drawback to the game. You can watch free videos to refill the energy over and over. I like the fact that the puzzle scenes are not based on TIME. You use energy and can take as long as you want to find all the items in the scene.

I like when mystery puzzles have a lot of areas to explore and detailed storylines. They did a great job on Part 1 of the game which has 3 chapters. But in part 2 the storyline gets a little repetitive and uninteresting. The part 1, I felt like there was more to explore to figure out the mystery. Also the subsequent chapters say coming soon in Ch2.

Jan 18, By ohnoitsjesuswithahotburrito. First of all, I love this game. Being able to unlock things yourself was a nice touch as well. It was all very immersive. By Edna D. I'm having issue with this game, the new episode 'Dancing with the Beast' is not working. Every time I try to play it, the whole screen turns green and the music stalls. I've already uninstalled it but same issue.

How can I fix this problem? Update: So when the app finally works, I love this interactive game. It has problem solving and puzzle games. Trying to solve the mystery is always fascinating.

The only thing I'd probably change is the life span. It runs out very quickly. Great game overall more. See all 4 reviews. Dec 23, By Jackie Goode. This is a good game. But you better have deep pockets to play!.

Two stars for lack of free energy. Finally the next chapter is ready to play. The designers have always been very stingy with the power to play. A small amount of free power has been available for watching an ad. I have been ,when needed, would watch ads to get power.

NOW, at this writing, free energy is not an option anymore. You pay or you wait 24 hours to recieve free full power. Greedy designers are evident here. Imagine if…. Jul 18, By Dr. This game has amazing potential…but for what I can only conclude is the greed of the developers.

Every action takes 5 energy, but the real kicker is your energy recharges as the insanely painfully slow rate of 1 every 8 minutes. On top of that, they also make some of the items in a hunt require an action - so you need to take an ax and chop the wood before you collect it. Guess what, that action takes an additional 5 energy too. The developers, if they want more game play and better reviews need to rethink their recharge rate or cost per action.

Look at something like Mystery Case Files, pay X for a game and play it. Much better use of time and energy. Similar to Murder in Alps: Hidden Mystery. Decipher clues, unravel mysteries, and solve puzzles in beautiful adventures! By Tevia Jesse. So when I downloaded this I was expecting a run of the mill puzzle game that I could beat in a day. Happy to say that this one is actually making me think lol. Plenty of other chapters to keep me busy!

Jan 6, I love this app. Instead of hunting down each new game, you update this app when new ones come out. I love these games, and eagerly await each new title, keeping the app on my phone even when there's nothing new to play.

By Lisa Conyers. So far the game is very challenging, keeping my attention and I'm wanting to see what's next! The puzzles are not too hard that you're stuck for days, but hard enough to have to use a hint occasionally. The graphics and music are both pleasing and there's lots of books and crannies to explore. So far I've not run into any problems but I'm very early in the game. I would recommend this game, if you like a good challenge! As I get farther in, I'll see if it still deserves 5 stars!

Good luck! Literally the best games ever Jan 3, I have on-and-off played these games for years. The story plots to the puzzles are amazing. You only get two keys per a certain amount of time but the puzzles sometimes are extremely challenging to the point where I have to come back and try again. I always look forward to the new games they create. Absolutely wonderful collection of games and I will keep playing as long as they continue to create! By Barbara L. Fun little game.

The beginner levels are challenging. I'm almost afraid to try the more difficult levels. I love the combination of puzzles and hidden clues. By Critico GS. The last one which just came out "Echo Bay" is the best of the bunch. The only thing I didn't like was Chapter 7, the rocks to get the numbers was ridiculous, just like to align "the ring" they make no sense.

All in all the majority of the puzzles are great, very few puzzles are ridiculous, but I recommend to start from beginner to advance and do them all.

Dec 27, By Miriam Yashar'el. This app is great. It's challenging. Wish they didn't use so many stars for clues but other than that, it keeps me engaged and thinking. Great puzzles and clues to figure out. Alot of levels and diffent adventures too.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I really like this app compared to others in it's genre. Dec 21, By Jeff Tuozzoli. I love playing these games they are my new favorites. The best in my opinion are the trapmaker series but just finished painted worlds which was great too! Please keep these coming as I am a huge fan!

Dec 19, By Wendy Kirton. I especially like the Detective Kate Gray ones. There is the background plot of a mystery and the key characters' personalities are developed over the course of the different cases.

Haiku has done a great job of mixing several favorite types of puzzles logic, numbers, cryptograms, spatial, tangrams I'm so glad they only give you 2 keys at a time, otherwise I'd binge and finish them too quickly. You can watch ads though to get keys. Thank you Haiku crew! By CatReader. I enjoyed it but I did need to rely on an outside hint for one puzzle; I don't understand the solution process using the found clue for a combo lock at a farmhouse.

The pricing is very generous. Only ads are one before each new chapter; and a key to access a chapter is generated by passage of time every 3 hours, I think, with a maximum of 2 keys accumulated. I buy addtional keys on occasion to pay the developer. By Shannen Osberry. Not a good deal at all. At least put 4 or 5 stars so that we can keep playing. Jun 29, By LaurieAnn I downloaded this game because of the reviews given. The levels listed as beginner are still crazy hard to figure out without buying clues.

You are left wondering what to do. Clicking on anything and everything to figure it out. Some things if you sit and think about it are easy, but most things until explained in a clue you are left dumb founded and stuck.

You have to BUY the stars. You are only awarded stars when you complete a level or find a hidden one. But because too many times in a chapter you are left… what now you cannot continue. As a beginner you should have a few entry level games that gives you plenty of clues until you figure out how you, the developers are thinking.

And can move on to less clues. Your explanations are pitiful. I would be satisfied with at least having to watch a video to get stars. You can do that with keys but not stars. And stars are what you need to get clues. The graphics are great, but not worth any money. Before you know it you will have spent and nothing to show for it. By Jamcat But the current system of making money is absurd. And then add in the fact that it costs even more to buy keys and remove ads.

Um, no thanks. Honestly, I love these games. Playing the most recent game though was very frustrating. Most puzzles that you get stuck on require 30 stars to skip it.

Lower the prices of stars or bring back the stars you get when you complete a puzzle. Dec 31, By Mike Stacks. Whats with this game?

But the other day it worked?! Somebody help! Exceptionally high quality Apr 18, By jhuntley The quality in the content and the graphics puts their games well above any mobile games I have played, and when I look for other games to fill the time between AE releases I am always disappointed. Even the model they used to introduce ads and the keys to unlock chapters was done very fairly.

Almost every other mobile game I have played has near constant ads and AE does not. Also, I kind of like that the key system prevents me from playing through the whole game super quickly.

I enjoy the games so much and they do take time to produce so I can appreciate slowing down and enjoying each one a little longer. Haiku puts out really good games, with very few ads, that can be played entirely for free.

Need more NOW!!!!! Apr 24, By niqchu. These are seriously great games. Very thought-out and entertaining. Trapmaker is definitely my favorite, part 3 was the best!! I can't wait for more. Maybe a Carnival part 2 or more Trapmaker!! I liked the new one Covent but the ending was very abrupt. I finished disappointed and wanting more.

I wish you guys didn't advertise Psychic Squad. I feel like we've been waiting forever for it. I've already played all the classic games so adding them to this app isn't a treat. I know you're a small company but waiting is hard. By 50ph The mini puzzles require a variety of skills and observations, the characters are realistic, and the storylines are engaging and complex enough to be fun. I decided to purchase some extra stars just to send some money to the development team because they deserve it, but the in-game stars are plentiful enough to cover the nearly-impossible puzzles you might need to skip.

If I could, I would rate them higher than five stars, I have gotten so much enjoyment out of the games. They are even surprisingly replayable!

One of, if not THE best puzzle games Jun 3, I usually never write reviews for any game on the app store, but Haiku games are something else. As someone who has binge played all of their games, they are SO worth it. The puzzles are all fun and challenging, while still feeling doable.

Normally I am not a fan of wait-to-play type of apps, however all of the chapters are long enough to feel worthwhile. I just wanna say thank you for the work you put in, and thanks for making some great games. Hope to see some more great content in the future! Loving this game Jul 5, By Chalain. The storylines have been fun. I like that I can watch ads to reduce the wait time on keys. Worst ever. Aug 22, By Crankynerd.

My friend and I have been enjoying playing many of these games, especially the advanced level ones which we play together because of the difficulty.

And then we got to Haunted Hunt. I have never played a more inane and absurd game in all my life, and that includes the games I played with my children when they were toddlers.

At first, being able to switch between human and animal was interesting. It made sense, for example, that the attic space above the seance room was too small for me to fit in as a human. But then I was able to not only lift the metal gauntlets—made for a grown man—but also take them into the same tiny attic space and put them on my wings in order to scoop up the silver musket ball.

As we played on, the puzzles got more and more random and nonsensical. Trying to figure out from the map the codes for the traps was absolutely incomprehensible madness. There was no skill involved, no way to figure out the meaning behind the acceptable answers. I did give it one star, however, because it was kind of fun to drink three glasses of wine and then dive into the insanity pool that this game is.

And one more thing, where the heck was Joan?? Gratuitous much? Nov 11, By thischickisdone. We thought we had hit on a nice compilation with your series.

We played many of them and found them clever albeit slightly average in difficulty, but all in all a nice way to consume some time. Then we landed on The Covenant and have mutually decided never to play another of your games again. Animals used as a source of food is one thing, but to watch an animal suffer and die a torturous death is something that should never be put in a wannabe fun and mindbending escape game. Of course, with The Covenant, you crossed so many lines of good taste that we hardly know where to start.

But the murder of animals is sufficient. I advise you all, everyone on your team, to rethink your strategy and rethink your collective mindset toward murder, gore and gratuitous nonsense… especially when it comes to innocent creatures.

Bye bye. By joeyy. And you get a max of 2. The puzzles are hard yes, but being stuck with this stupid kraken at the end of the pirate game, impossible. There is absolutely no kind of skill test to this. They literally put these tentacles sporadically and randomly whenever they want apparently.

Been playing against these stupid things for an hour now getting no where. Waste of time if the other games are gonna be like that too. Not even worth it if you ask me between waiting to unlock chapters and apparently impossible tasks. Deleting this game. Thanks for wasting my time.

Trapmaker Games Feb 8, By Granny McSad. Example: The timer said when I used the first key to unlock the first chapter. I played the chapter and when I went to unlock the next chapter with the second key, the timer was down to I used the second key to play the next chapter. When I completed the chapter and needed to unlock the next one, the key timer was reset back to and there were no keys. So if the keys reset back to 2 keys every 2 hours and 59 minutes and there was 40 minutes left on the timer when I used the second key, why did I not get 2 more keys after the 40 minutes had passed, instead of the timer being reset back to with no keys available?

Is it a cheat, a glitch or am I misunderstanding the purpose of the timer? Similar to Adventure Escape Mysteries. Free In App Purchases. By Liz Giddens. Such a fun game!!! Not too difficult. This game features puzzles and a little bit of platforming, along with a well voice acted cast of characters and eerie music. The ever-changing atmosphere and dark and twisting hallways make every minute of this game intense, and the horror truly comes from within.

The off putting colors in this section really give you a sense of the internal madness of the unnamed painter. This futuristic mystery horror plays on the idea of consciousness of the human mind and how much we trust technology.

There is no real moral of the story to begin with, except that you should always be wary of who you trust. Observer looks futuristic, plays smoothly, and makes you think about what it means to be human without sacrificing too much of your fleshy body.

Maybe we really WILL have these gadgets in Simon Jarrett was involved in a car accident that left him with irreversible brain damage. When he agrees to an experimental brain scan procedure driven by doctor David Munshi, he blacks out … and wakes up below the depths of the ocean. Without giving too much away, the psychological aspect of being a living, sentient being is explored expertly. Personally, I never want to put on a wetsuit after this ever again.
